I'm Vanessa Koukou, Educator & Advocate for Meaningful Learning. With over 20 years of teaching experience across Greece, and the UK, I hold a Master’s degree in TEFL and have worked as a translator, project manager, and educator in both private and public sectors.

For over a decade, I ran my own Foreign Languages Centre in Greece before being invited by the Greek Ministry of Education to bring my expertise into state schools. My experience teaching and collaborating in the UK — has also shaped how I support diverse learners - not just in mastering English, but in using it to express their ideas, ambitions and entrepreneurial drive.

Now, I bring all of that into Birdhouse English — a platform for learners who want to think critically, communicate clearly, and take charge of their personal and professional growth.
